Two-Factor Authentication

Beginning on Sunday, May 22, My UNC Chart accounts will have Two-Factor Authentication enabled for increased security of your My UNC Chart patient portal. Two-Factor Authentication is a security system that requires two separate, distinct forms of identification to access your account online, such as your password AND a special code.

This change will affect:

     •   Current patients with My UNC Chart accounts who have not enabled Two-Factor Authentication in the past
     •   Any new patients who activate their My UNC Chart account beginning May 22, 2022

This change will not affect:

     •   Current patients who have previously enabled Two-Factor Authentication and then turned it off
     •   Current patients with Two-Factor Authentication already enabled

You can disable Two-Factor Authentication in your security settings or choose "Skip this step next time" at login.
